Le but premier \u00e9tait de miniaturis\u00e9 les lasers \u00e0 azote tout en conservant l&rsquo;\u00e9nergie de sortie du laser.<\/h4>\n<h4>En choisissant\u00a0 un mat\u00e9riau ayant un haut coefficient di\u00e9lectrique de 6000 comme le titanate de baryum le laser devenait miniature tout en conservant l&rsquo;\u00e9nergie de sortie et le pulse \u00e9tait \u00e9galement plus court, ceci parce que la cavit\u00e9 ne mesurait que 40 mm au lieu de 600 \u00e0 1000 mm des lasers \u00e0 azote utilisant des di\u00e9lectrique comme le polyethyl\u00e8ne, polypropyl\u00e8ne,Mylar ou Teflon!<\/h4>\n<p>Un brevet \u00e0 \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9pos\u00e9 en 1977 par le Battelle Memorial Institute \u00e0 Gen\u00e8ve puis un projet de recherche \u00e0 \u00e9t\u00e9 vendu \u00e0 une soci\u00e9t\u00e9 Canadienne PRA pour un montant de 3.5 M$.<\/p>\n<h4>Apr\u00e8s un an de d\u00e9veloppement la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 PRA commercialisait le Laser NITROMITE\u00ae\u00a0dans le monde entier.<br \/>\nPuis peu de temps apr\u00e8s j&rsquo;ai quitt\u00e9 Battelle pour fonder la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 MULTILASERS Gen\u00e8ve ou j&rsquo;ai d\u00e9velopper des lasers de calibration pour des centres de Recherches Nucl\u00e9aire tel que le CERN , FERMI LAB , KEK Japon, MIT , Appelton Lab, CEA etc&#8230;
