Un \u00e9tage d\u2019amplification typique g\u00e9n\u00e8re entre 10 et 20 dB de gain. Au-dessus de ce niveau de gain, certains effets ind\u00e9sirables ASE (Amplified Spontaneous Emission) amplifient les longueurs d\u2019onde ind\u00e9sirables. Il est donc souhaitable d\u2019avoir un amplificateur \u00e0 plusieurs \u00e9tages avec des filtres ASE entre chaque \u00e9tage au lieu de maximiser le gain d\u2019amplification d\u2019un \u00e9tage donn\u00e9.<\/h3>\n<h3><strong>Effet de commutation de gain de diode laser<\/strong>\u00a0: lors de l\u2019application de courant \u00e0 une diode laser, une certaine quantit\u00e9 d\u2019\u00e9nergie est stock\u00e9e dans le milieu \u00e0 gain. Cette \u00e9nergie est ensuite r\u00e9alis\u00e9e sous la forme d\u2019une impulsion courte \u00e0 la partie initiale de l\u2019impulsion (plage picoseconde). Cette impulsion est typiquement de l\u2019ordre d\u2019une dur\u00e9e d\u2019impulsion de 100 ps. Cette impulsion courte peut \u00eatre consid\u00e9r\u00e9e comme une opportunit\u00e9, par exemple lorsque vous essayez de produire une impulsion tr\u00e8s courte, ou comme un probl\u00e8me lorsque vous envisagez d\u2019amplifier des impulsions de la gamme nanoseconde jusqu\u2019\u00e0 des niveaux d\u2019\u00e9nergie \u00e9lev\u00e9s.<\/h3>\n<h3><strong>Effets non lin\u00e9aires de la fibre<\/strong>: les amplificateurs \u00e0 fibre concentrent la lumi\u00e8re dans un coeur de petit diam\u00e8tre ce qui augmente la densit\u00e9 de puissance jusqu\u2019\u00e0 des niveaux tr\u00e8s \u00e9lev\u00e9s. Cela peut devenir un probl\u00e8me majeur lorsque l\u2019on consid\u00e8re des puissances de cr\u00eate d\u2019impulsion \u00e9lev\u00e9es, car de nombreux effets optiques non lin\u00e9aires apparaissent au-dessus d\u2019un certain niveau de puissance de cr\u00eate et de densit\u00e9s spectrales. Ces effets, comme le SBS (Stimulated Brillouin Scattering) ou le SRS (Stimulated Raman Scattering), ont tendance \u00e0 \u00e9largir \u00e0 la fois le spectre d\u2019\u00e9mission et la dur\u00e9e des impulsions. SBS est un effet qui d\u00e9pend de mani\u00e8re non lin\u00e9aire de la densit\u00e9 spectrale. Choisir un seeder d\u2019\u00e9mission plus large et \u00e9viter les DFB \u00e0 largeur spectrale \u00e9troite peut \u00eatre un bon choix pour atteindre des puissances de cr\u00eate plus \u00e9lev\u00e9es lors de l\u2019utilisation d\u2019impulsions nanosecondes. Une autre solution consiste \u00e0 utiliser un modulateur de phase EOM (\u00e9lectro-optique). Cela \u00e9largit le spectre d\u2019\u00e9mission tout en conservant la belle stabilit\u00e9 spectrale d\u2019un DFB.<\/h3>\n<\/div><\/section><\/div><\/p>\n<div class=\"flex_column av_one_full
